Claudio achieved fame in the Virgin Islands as “The African Poet” and was initially, and very enthusiastically, introduced to the Caribbean public at large on Radio One by the World Famous and Legendary Calypsonian ~ King Obstinate who hosted Claudio on his very popular show. He is accompanied here by guitarist and best friend Gary Jensen and the Calypso House Band at The Frenchman’s Reef Hotel on St. Thomas, USVI in 1977. The pride of France and World’s Greatest Pantomime, Marcel Marceau himself, was in the audience.
